Yes, it’s that time…are you ready? Here is the most important info you need.
Students will have 4 days of testing, 2 reading and 2 math.
Monday, April 16, 2012 – Reading Session 1
Tuesday, April 17, 2012 – Reading Session 2
Wednesday, April 18, 2012 – Math Session 1
Thursday, April 19, 2012 – Math Session 2
Friday, April 20, 2012 – Make Up Day for missed sessions
Students must be in school on time on all testing days. Please DO NOT schedule appointments for your child or plan to pick your child up early on testing days. They may not leave once a testing session has begun. Also, please ensure that your child gets plenty of rest every night (beginning now) and eats a healthy breakfast each morning. Food will help fuel their brains! :-)
All homework is directly related to FCAT at this point. Be sure your child puts in 100% effort on all homework assignments and please review with your child nightly. If you have access to a computer, your child can also practice FCAT skills and FCAT style questions at home on Destination Reading/Math, Compass Odyssey and FCAT explorer. Students know how to login to all programs, and they are available through BEEP.
The students are well prepared academically, we need to prepare them mentally and emotionally for the test. Help me in reminding your child how very important it is for him/her to try his/her best – but without stressing out your child! Effort can be a major factor so helpful reminders at home are necessary. Thanks for your continued support.
