The 2nd quarter is off to a great start! We have had a busy week full of learning. The students’ first book report, The Reading Roller Coaster Book Report is due tomorrow! I’m so excited for the presentations and to see what the students have come up with. The next book report for November/December (Paper Bag Book Report) will be assigned tomorrow and is due on December 14, 2011.
Social Studies Project
Today students were assigned a new Social Studies project – the Country Placemat project! This should be exciting as well. Be sure to ask your child about all of these projects and ensure that they are completed in a timely manner. Projects should be completed by the student with help from the parent. All writing or typing for the project must be completed by the student NOT the parent. All illustrations, gluing and cutting involved in all projects should be done by the student NOT the parent. These are not a parent projects, they are STUDENT projects.
Quick reminder for November – we have Friday, November 11th off for Veteran’s Day and this year students are off the entire week of Thanksgiving.
