Our first field trip of the year will be to Palm Beach Zoo on February 14, 2012. We will depart from Challenger promptly at 9:15am and return by 2:15pm in time for dismissal. Students should arrive on time (as always) by 8:40am. The cost of the trip is $14.00 which can be paid online at Challenger.Browardschools.com. Choose activity B3771-384. Online payments will be accepted from today through 1/16/12 ONLY. Signed permission slips with the online payment confirmation number are due by January 17, 2012. Students who do not pay or return the field trip form on time will not be permitted to attend. If you know in advance that you do not want your child to attend, please email me (or send in a note) so that I am aware of your intentions.
On the day of the field trip students are to bring a disposable bag lunch (no lunch boxes, thermos, etc.) Students need to be able to dispose of their lunch after they eat as there will be no place to store it. Additionally all students are to come dressed in a RED uniform shirt and closed shoes.
I already have two parents who are approved volunteers that have asked to chaperone this trip. I will not know how many paid or free chaperones I get until the final count is in. I will keep you updated.
