Splash Math (free for basic, paid membership also available)

What Splash Math aims is to align its content with the Common Core Standards curriculum and improve math skills for the kids of Grade 1-5. We aim to replace Paper Worksheets with Fun Games and gear ipad for the classroom. Math practice anytime and anywhere is possible with Splash Math that works equally well on ipad and on laptop or desktop. Once downloaded, it can be used on multiple devices with the same login and the progress of the kid can be saved and tracked in real time.

Study Jams (free)

This website has great instructional videos, online quizzes and karaoke with lyrics to teach Mathematical concepts.  This serves as a helpful review or introduction.  Links can be dropped into Schoology as well for an addition to your blended classroom.

Learn Zillion (free)

Flocabulary (30 day free trial available, paid membership also available)

Flocabulary is a learning program for all grades that uses educational hip-hop music to engage students and increase achievement across the curriculum. Teachers at 20,000 schools use Flocabulary’s standards-based videos, instructional activities and student creativity tools to supplement instruction and develop core literacy skills.

These are amazing music videos that teach academic concepts to rap beats.  Online quizzes and exercises are also available in addition to lesson plans.

Brain Pop (some resources available free, paid membership available)

BrainPOP can be used in traditional, blended, and “flipped” learning settings, supporting individual, team, and whole-class learning. At school and in more informal learning environments, their characters help introduce new topics and illustrate complex concepts.

Super Teacher Worksheets (some resources available free, paid membership also available)

Unlike the name suggests, this is more than just worksheets.  There are great games and activities to use in the classroom such as “I Have, Who Has”.  Many activities are accessible for free, or you can sign up for an account.

CPALMS (free)

CPALMS is an online toolbox of information, vetted resources, and interactive tools that helps educators effectively implement teaching standards. It is the State of Florida’s official source for standards information and course descriptions.

Virtual Manipulatives (free)

Great for use with an Interactive white board or blended learning model.
